Mayapur, Nadia: State Panchayat Minister Dilip Ghosh participated in special prayers and pulled the chariot at the Mayapur ISKCON temple on the occasion of Rath Yatra. He shared that various rituals, including the Om Yajna and Go-Pujan (cow worship), were successfully completed during the event.
Speaking to the media, Minister Dilip Ghosh said, “Every year, the chariot festival of Lord Jagannath is organized on the occasion of Rath Yatra. This time, I had the opportunity to visit the grand pilgrimage site of Mayapur. The ISKCON authorities invited us, which is why I came for the inauguration.”
Highlighting that Rath Yatra is being celebrated with great pomp across West Bengal, he announced that the state government has provided a grant of 5 lakh rupees each to the traditional Rath Yatras in the state.
