Kolkata, 3 July 2025: The BSS School celebrated its 75th anniversary with transformative initiatives to empower rural girls, reinforcing its legacy of compassion and academic excellence. Eminent guests, including Prof. (Dr.) Anuradha Lohia,
former Vice-Chancellor of Presidency University, alongside Trustee Mr. G. K. Khaitan, Additional Secretary Mrs. Dipti Khaitan, Principal Ms. Sunita Sen, Headmistress Samita Pincha, and Vice Principal Sudeshna Banerjee graced the event. The “Go Girl” initiative launched a mobile science laboratory, touring West Bengal’s rural areas to deliver hands-on STEM education, sparking
curiosity among underprivileged girls. Senior BSS students will mentor rural peers through an online spoken English program, equipping them with skills for higher education and employment. Certificates will recognize participants’ progress, fostering confidence.
A spectacular student-led production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, featuring over 150 performers, captivated audiences with its creativity and teamwork, highlighting the school’s vibrant spirit. “Our 75-year journey fuels initiatives that shape leaders and uplift communities,” said Ms. Sunita Sen.
